I don't remember what blog I stumbled across that brought Windows Live Writer to my attention but I have been using it for appx. two months now and it's awesome!  It has several useful plug-ins, seamless integration with Wordpress and allows me to work offline to publish at my leisure.  Best of all, its FREE!  Check it out.
